Eucalyptus, Eucalyptus globulus, acts as an antiseptic, antiviral, bactericidal, decongestant, expectorant, and insecticide. Since the leaves contain a chemical called eucalyptol, which may help loosen phlegm, it is often used to help treat cold congestion and bronchitis.

Peppermint, Mentha piperita, has anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and astringent properties. It stimulates nerve endings and increases local blood flow, which may help with dry skin. Nettle , Urtica dioica, acts as natural astringent, tightens and firms the skin, regulates natural sebum production, treats acne, promotes flawless skin.It is rich in vitamins C, B2, K1, carotenoids and tocopherols, minerals such as calcium, potassium, magnesium, phosphorous, silicium, chlorine, manganese, cooper and iron, as well essential fatty acid – Linolenic (Omega-3) and chlorophyll

Hemp, Humulus lupulus,contains omega-6 fatty acids that contain anti-inflammatory properties and can soothe eczema, acne and skin after shaving. Helps repair sun damage. It also helps to reduce UV damage and hyperpigmentation of the skin. Treats atopic dermatitis.

Olive Oil, ,It is a classic oil for dry, chapped skin on elbows, knees, hands and feet. Olive oil’s nourishing, softening and protecting properties are well-known but it is also an anti-inflammatory and so very valuable to use in oil blends .that ease skin irritations, damaged skin, and itchiness.

Jojoba Oil, It is rich in Omega 9 and is a good choice for hair and skin products due to its protective properties and ability to retain moisture. Jojoba Oil works well with most skin types and is very commonly used as a massage oil as it absorbs slowly into the skin.It has a chemical make-up very similar to sebum, our skin’s natural oil, and it is an excellent choice in acne prone skin products as it helps soften pores to help remove impurities.

It also helps lock in moisture to minimize water loss.

Carrot seed Oil, distilled from the seeds of the wild carrot plant, Carrot seed oil has antibacterial, antifungal, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant properties. Traditionally, carrot seed oil has been used to support digestive and respiratory health, and to strengthen the immune system. It contains vitamins A, C, and E, which can help repair sun damage and scars, boost collagen and mend skin.

Borage Seed Oil, Borage Oil contains exceptionally high levels of GLA (Gamma linolenic acid). Also found in a lower concentration in Evening Primrose oil, GLA is a substance that the body needs to create the prostaglandins that prevent dryness, loss of suppleness and wrinkling and also help reduce inflammation.

Castor Oil, Castor Oil is a very thick and heavy oil. It’s quite unique in that it is a cleansing oil instead of being absorbed directly into the skin it sits on the surface and helps draw out impurities, helping leave the skin not only clean but incredibly moisturised

Rosehip seed Oil, Castor Rosehip Seed Oil is quite special as it is the only oil to contain retinoic acid, also known as vitamin A. For this reason, it is a key ingredient in many anti-aging recipes as it helps reduce fine lines and wrinkles

Almond Oil, is a very mild oil that is suitable for most skin types except oily or large-pored skin. It is mild enough to be used in baby products, especially when combined with other mild oils such as Apricot Kernel or Peach Kernel Oil however is it most commonly used as a massage oil as it absorbs into the skin very slowly much like Jojoba Oil.

Coconut Oil, Coconut Oil is derived from coconut meat (white part) and known to contain biosimilar fatty acids, antioxidants, and anti-inflammatories. It's occlusive, so it sits on top of the skin, trapping moisture underneath. This helps smooth the skin and lock in existing moisture

Raspberry seed Oil, Raspberry seed oil contains vitamins A and E, as well as omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, which may act as a shield against UV-A and UV-B rays. The Waxes
Bees Wax, As it is a natural humectant, it helps your skin retain its own moisture whilst creating a seal that locks moisture in. Its also antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. Beeswax in our products is Yorkshire bees wax from local apiaries! It repairs damage, promotes the skin's regeneration, diminishes the appearance of the signs of aging, soothes itchiness and irritation, and creates a hydrating, long-lasting protective barrier against environmental pollutants.

Sunflower Wax, is made from the hydrogenation of sunflower oil, which is extracted from the seed of the plant. Sunflower wax prevents dehydration and has calming, nourishing and antibacterial properties, softens and smooths the skin creating a protective barrier that locks in moisture.

Baltic Amber ( Succinite), is a fossilised tree resin that originated in the Baltic region of northern Europe during the Eocene epoch, approximately 50 million years ago. Our Amber is specifically from Ustka, Poland. It contains 3-8% succinic acid, which is believed to form from micro-organism-induced fermentation of the cellulose contained in the acid. We use crushed amber in our tinctures and an even finer crushed amber in our face scrubs.
